Just had the same problem. The dealership charged me $380 for a key. Told me a chip in the old key failed. They said they had to phone Chevy for the chip code. This was untrue as the code was inside the glove department Also I replaced the battery My advise is dont go to dealership. Look in your glove department, There should be the key code. Then go to a lock smith with the code. .
