351 cleveland engine help

I'm haveing trouble.  I have just put 2 grand into rebuilding my 351 cleveland engine.  I put punched it out 30 over and all new bearings.
the problem is that when i was putting it back together I droped a locknut washer in the intake and apon turing it over it crushed and scratched the piston wall ans well as the outside of the piston.i got the washer out but the scratch is about a half inch long and at the very top of the piston wall but deep enough to put your fingernail in.  since its been already punched over .030 can they take it out?  Can the engine be fine without doing much?  What about the piston rings?  Any help would help alot!!!

Hi machwone! I'm afraid that someone is going to have to take a look at the scratch and then summarize your best options for you. It's near impossible to give you usable advice without being able to see what we are talking about. Good luck!

I HAVE A 351 CLEVELAND I'M DROPPING IN MY 70FASTBACK IT'S BORED 40 OVER,ANOTHER WAY TO FIX IT IS TO SLEEVE IT.JERRY.
