Battery

Asked by Bushwacked Oct 25, 2018 at 08:48 AM about the 2006 Ford Mustang

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We disconnected the battery then touched the
positive and negative  cables to neutralize any
residual power. After a few hours of body work we
reconnected the battery. NOW IT WON'T KEEP A
CHARGE. Battery and alt were checked. Both are
good. Any suggestions? Is there a reset

you need a multi tester to see if you have 14+ volts when the car is running , they bench tested it with all good equipment , why you grounded out the batt. terminals I don't know you may have screwed something up , maybe even the ECM , scan for codes even if the light ain't on

most auto parts stores do a free battery test, it will say if the battery or what part of the electrical system is messed up
