My 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle has a series designator of 33 in the VIN....which means it's not a Malibu, right? However, the car has "Malibu" emblems on it. What gives?

13337 Chevelle 6 cyl Two door hardtop http://chevellestuff.net/tools/vin_decoder.htm http://chevellestuff.net/1971/options.htm Malibu emblems can be attached to fenders with either adhesive or small nuts onto back of emblem
