I am having brake problmes with them coming on at 50+ mph

This has happened 3 times always on the freeway with out touching the brake pedal the semm to come on and I have to stop the car wait for up to 10 mintues for them to release before I can drive again.  has anyone heard of this before?

Hi gford. Yikes! That sounds very inconvenient. I only found one similar reference on the web about this type of problem and someone suggested this could happen if the rear brake shoes were installed backwards, but that seems like a long shot to me. I couldn't find any recalls related to this so I'm going to have to refer you to your local Toyota dealer. You need professional help on this one. Good luck!
