i silpped thed timing belt on my 1998 audi a8 quattro. is it a for sure thing that i will now have bent valves
You could bend the valves and will need to replace the heads or rebuild them
im asking if that is for sure. i have not replaced the timing belt yet but i want to know if i am going to have to FOR SURE replace the valves also.
Oh, no you wont if you change the belt, sorry I thought you said the valves were bent...
i havent had the valves checked yet i was just told that the a8 has an interference motor and that if i slip the timing that i will have for sure bent the valves. so im asking true or not?
I never heard that, the only way to check is install a new belt and or check the head...
