landcruiser 95 freewheel hub problems

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hey!! My landcruiser prado 96 3litre auto has had manual hub conversion.
One hub started leaking oil and my mechanic said it was a problem with the
original conversion kit (Aisins I think) that has become an issue with other
vehicles they knew of.  We replaced the spindle hub HZJ79 99 and hub and
a pair of freewheel hub manuals.  I took it out on the weekend and she went
into 4wd fine but later I heard a thump and she had slipped out of 4wd.
What do you think?  Am I being led a dance by the mechanic or is there
another issue that needs to be repaired?  Thanks millions Linda
