How do I get my codes cleared?
1 cheap thing you can claer the light is disconnect the battry for 15 mins. than put it back on....
Clear the code by going to a dealership, they have the computer that can connect to your car and tell you why its on, and clear it.
It takes a tool called OBC ll or lll. What this does is to clear the codes off the ECM to tell if the repairs have been done. If the repairs are corrected, then the ECM has been reset. If you work on your own car, then a tool on Ebay can be had for less than a$100.00, and is needed in todays cars. A local ASE shop can reset. Really shouldn'r cost much as the tool is plugged into a port, right under the drivers side [ L or R of the steering colume] and he pushes reset. Tome involved, less than 5 min.
