Subaru womt start?!

Asked by A7urx Dec 23, 2016 at 06:58 AM about the 1998 Subaru Impreza

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Anyone can help me with a subaru Impreza i bought
recently? Its a uk turbo which doesn't start. I
changed the steering column as i broke the key and
steering lock and now the car just turns on for a
second and switches itself off. I was told by a local
mechanic it has a Immobiliser problem so i sent the
immobiliser, transponder and ecu to a company
named Autotronics in Leicester who said they found
no faults with the coding.

Any help would be much appreciated

The ECM (MAIN COMPUTER) needs to be re-flashed, this can only be done by a dealer.
