Car won't start

Asked by GuruYPGM Mar 29, 2017 at 07:47 PM about the 2004 Saturn ION

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have put in a new battery, a new starter and the
alternator is good, however now I have no power
after putting in a brand new battery and putting in a
brand new starter.  It wanted to crank and made
that clicking noise and had power before
disconnecting the old battery and putting in the
new one. When we hooked up the new battery now
I have absolutely no power at all. All major
components have either been replaced or tested
and are in good working order.

Did you put a volt meter on the battery after installation? If you have power there go to the fuse block under the hood and if you remove the cover you will see a large red wire going directly to the battery .. it may be loose
