what does it mean when the display is showing coolant on the dash.

it means your coolant is low and you need to add some

Well he's half way right, also the ion has a pressurized cooling system,it has to be bled out just like brakes to make sure there is no sir in the cooling system. There's a kit for it at summit racing and manufacturer dealer ships not sure about Auto zone or advanced
