bought 97 porsche boxter May '15 but only 1 key. Key broke in half & lost blade. How is that possible when my PBox only has 47k miles-wear&tear wasnt problem. Am in AZ where replacement blade&program?

These keys don't break easily. If the electronics are still there and functional, you can just buy a new key fob housing and key blade off ebay or Amazon and get it cut to your VIN, then transplant the electronics and transponder pill from the old fob. Don't waste your money buying a used key fob as they cannot ever be reprogrammed to a new car. If the electronics are dead or missing, you will need a whole new key. You cannot program any keys yourself, or with a locksmith. You must use a genuine new Porsche key which must still have the white serial number tag attached and only Porsche dealers or some independents will have the correct software to pair the key to the car. Buy the key cheaper from an online supplier, eg Sunset or Suncoast Porsche, then take the car and unopened key to your dealer. You won't get a lot of change from $300 though.
