Bad battery cables

Bad battery cable connections. Can I still drive the car as long as I don't turn
it off?

Yes , but the way things go your alternator will go out next , then a cop will show up and ask if you've been drinking , just fix it ,

Yes for as long as it takes to get the replacements at your parts store and install them. If the cables are corroded or broken/deteriorated, the alternator may not be sending any current to the battery and, possibly, diverting all its power to keeping your car running. It is not designed to do that and it will eventually die a rapid, untimely death.
