My parking break light keeps turning on while im driving, why is this?

1994 Grand Am SE, when im driving the parking break light turns on randomely, when it does this I can feel lots of resistance on the road but the parking break isnt actually on. What can i do to fix it?

Did you check the fluid level... The red brae warning lamp iluminates if the fluid level is low...may be just a hair above the low mark, causing intermettent warning lamp... if that is okay then the park brake lever may be inadvertentley activating it
