funny fan sounding noise from front end

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1999 grand prix GT. I noticed this noise yesterday (seems like from the drivers side of car)  coming home from a trip.   It has nothing to do with engine speed but when the car moves.  It sounds like a truck slowing down when downshifting almost but not loud when I coast to a stop. Same sound even when in nutural and coasting to a stop.   The sound just stays at a higher pitch when driving constant speed.  Another way to describe it would be slowing a fan down with your finger and it stops when the car comes to a stop.   Any ideas to what might be causing this sound.    I also tried quick back and forth movements when in motion with the steering wheel and this did adjust the sound.   I am thinking I should get it checked out asap.

the sound picks starts when you hit about 25 30 mph. I think its a wheel bearing after doing some reading and am having it checked out after work.
