Car won't shift

Have 2000 pontiac grand prix that
starts up fine, sometimes drives
fine but last time was at a light
and did not want to move, wired
for awhile then took off again.
Any ideas?

Viscosity of the transmission fluid is getting to high Time to change the trans filter, I wouldn't recommend a flush, just drop the pan change the filter and put a new gasket on the pan and top back up. Hope this helps
