I have a 2001 2.2 engine sunfire. I was leaking antifreeze for a long time and a friend put the blue devil sealant in (which now I know that's a bad idea) but it worked for a couple months.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We replaced the radiator, water
pump, the fan sensor, and a few
different thermostats, and flushed the
heater core. The car had a 195
thermostat but factory only makes
180, which we replaced. The car
continues to over hear with the 180
thermostat. We hollowed out the
thermostat and it's not overheating.
Several tests were done on the head
gasket and that was ruled out! What
else could it possibly be!?!!!?

It could be the intake gasket or the head itself. When it was leaking anti- freeze was it internal or externally leaking?
