Try to start it, leave the key on for ten minutes, the security light will go off, turn the key off and try to start it again. It will either accept the reprogramming or you will have to do this two more times...

I have a 1989 Pontiac Grand Prix and the anti theft device has locked my radio and turn my fans off you know what happens the car gets too hot the transmission overheats as well as the engine and the system shuts down thats why I want to disable it.

I want to disable it because I am a senior citizen and when it stops working I'm not always by someone and I'm afraid I will get stranded.
