1. Loosen and remove the thermostat housing bolts. 2. Gently pry open the housing to expose the thermostat noting the top-to-bottom orientation. 3. Remove the old thermostat. 4.Scrape the mounting flange taking care not to have any scrapings go into the housing. 5. Install a new gasket and the new thermostat in the same orientation as the one you removed. 6. Install the housing mounting bolts and tighten. 7.Start the car and check for leaks.
