How do I fix the auto theft problem, so I can start my car.

Asked by autoobsession1996 May 11, 2015 at 08:11 PM about the 2003 Pontiac Sunfire

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Accidentally triggered auto theft
system, while taking off passenger
side door interior; I couldn't get it off,
so I gave up. I went to go start my car
to listen to the stereo, and the auto
theft light came up, and wouldn't let
me start it. I'm new to working on
cars. I tried unplugging the battery,
and still didn't solve my problem.

What's the "Radio code"? Sorry, I know this is probably a pain to explain, I'm new to this. But, nothing will litterly work. Radio nor car. But, the inside car light works, and some car symbols. Could it be because the battery needs a charge or?

The factory radio have a code, every time you unplug the batt or you activate the theft.because you are messing whit the stereo sistem, on most cars just put the factory radio code look for the brand and model on your dealer web page if you don't have it
