Are you talking about the coolant going back into the over flow while cooling down? That normal.

after it was cooled i opened the cap and it was constant slow flow out of the radiator.

the venicle is not overheating but it is running hotter than normal. so maybe thermostat anyways.

The coolant flowing out just sounds very normal to me,everything is cooling and contracting,it's not going to hurt if you replace the thermostat, just remember to bleed the system really good or you will over heat.

In my aztek the car overheats and the coolant floods out of the overflow. Made sure all of the air was out of the cooling system and it ran fine but next time I started it it was full of air again...tried it several times with the same result. If the issue isn't the head gasket what are the alternatives? Thermostat was already replaced as a precaution.
