Grand Prix - Warning lights after changing battery cable

Asked by Dontcounttoday May 09, 2016 at 08:22 AM about the 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Yesterday I changed out the negative battery
cables on my 2004 Grand Prix. Drove around for
awhile with no issues. Today I have 3 warning
lights turn on as I'm driving. Traction Control, Anti
Lock Breaking System and Service Breaks all came
on. The way one of the negative cables run around
the engine I had to zip tie it loosely to some other
wiring (which is all in plastic wire protection) but I
can't imagine it would effect anything. Maybe I
accidentally moved a wire loose in the process of
routing the negative cable?  Or is just just all a
weird coincidence?

they may very well be two separate issues. its vey common for the abs sensor in your wheel hubs to go bad. that'll cause all three warnings you need a good scanner to narrow it down.

you need a scanner that can read abs codes. I don't know if autozone has one. couldn't hurt to ask.

You may have bumped a wheel sensor. Look over the area you needed to access to change the battery cable and see if you can find a lead that has come loose.
