aftermarket radio stopped working after disconnecting battery

I disconnected the battery on my 04 Pontiac grand
am and now my aftermarket radio has no power. I
checked all the fuses on the car and on the back of
the radio, all were good. has anyone else
experienced this? and how did you fix it?
