Why do I keep having to fill up the coolant in my 2004 pontiac grand am?

Asked by Jun 18, 2019 at 08:39 PM about the 2004 Pontiac Grand Am

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Every day my car gets hot, the needle goes
way passed the red line, so I stop and let the
car cool down and fill up my resivour with
50\50 coolant,  ok so every day before I
leave I open my coolant and its completely
empty so I fill it up and drive not that far and
it starts to get hot,  so I do the same thing,
fill it up. But not at night when its cool it
doesn't over heat, only in the day when its
hot. What is wrong with it
