No crank. Everything goes off

Asked by Oct 04, 2017 at 01:15 PM about the 2004 Pontiac Bonneville

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an 04 Bonneville that I recently
attempted to put an aftermarket head unit
in. I realized I had the wrong wiring harness
so I decided to put the factory radio back in.
When I was putting the wires back in the
dock-n-lock harness I crossed a wire. Now
when I try to start the car there is no crank
and all the guages stop working. When I let
off the key (out of start position) the guages
bottom out and then start working again.
The security light is on solid during this time.
Only flashes when the door is open. Any help
on this problem would be great. Thank you
in advance.
