Tapping noise on top of motor oil pressure gauge moves around while stepping on gas pedal
Engine might be worn out and what you're hearing is lifter slap. That's accompanied by loose/worn bearings that cause the oil pressure to run low at low engine speed, but rise upon acceleration. Or it might be a little slap on the fifteen year old engine accompanied by a bad oil pressure sending unit. Have a mechanic check this.
