I drive a 2004 Aztec Pontiac and it just shut down while I was driving but it started right back up

When I press on the gas while driving the car gets

Have you checked to see if you still have a muffler or catalytic converter?

What kind of noise is it? From what you say there it sounds like a major exhaust leak, possibly at the manifold or a hole in the muffler.
