why my 04 Aztec won't start

Asked by Aug 19, 2019 at 12:02 AM about the 2004 Pontiac Aztek

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I've got a 2004 Pontiac Aztec 3.4 V6. I turn the key
to start it and it don't do a thing, not even so much
as makes a noise. I just replaced the starter and
had the battery slow charged so its neither of
those that's the problem. I can hear the duel pump
kicking in and all the lights, radio, ect comes on
just fine but it won't start. the steering wheel
moves fine and all that. just have no idea what it
could be now.

Try shifting into neutral to start it. If it starts then, it's the neutral safety switch. Hope that helps! Jim
