2005 Pontiac Sunfire is not getting gas

Pontiac Sunfire 2005 I could put the
gas all the way down to the floor and it
will go for only about 30 miles an hour I
don't know why it won't go after that
and that's in every gear I know there for
a while it was smell like gas under the
hood now it doesn't I believe it's either
the fuel pump or the fuel relay
transmitter do you have any answers
for me please help

Misfiring causes raw gas to enter the exhaust system and it burns inside the catalytic converter; destroying it. Your problem sounds like that has happened, and you now need to replace the converters. Another possibility might be if you also have a check engine light on your dash your car has gone into limp/safety mode: the engine is locked down as a safety measure and will not operate normally until repairs are done.
