Some times my temp. gauge shows hot but it shows normal with a temp. gun. and the fuel gauge sometimes pegs all the way over to the temp. gauge and some times it is normal. What could be the problem?

Temperature sending unit may b bad, but b careful. The sensor reads internal temp which may not b the same as the reading or getting. Perhaps Replace temp sensor?
