My fan stop working and overheating the
only way fan will come on is with a cord
running from fan to. Battery wat could it be
making the fan not work and overheating

There are fuses and relays in that system that need to be checked. One or more of those components may need changing.

Also, could be a fusable link between the fan and the battery (similar to a fuse but not in the fuse panel). Trace the fan lead back to the battery to locate it.
