How do I find the dimmer switch/dial for the instrument panel in a 2005 Grand
Am?

Typically, it is with the light switch and activated by turning the knob (if there is one) or rotating a wheel next to the light switch. If not there, look for a small knob around the steering column. Sorry, I am not familiar with your specific vehicle but have rented many different cars for business over the years and had to look around for these switches.
