1992 Acclaim hesitates runs bad.....

The car has less than 90,000 original miles,
when driving at any speed the car acts like
it's going to run out if gas hesitates and all.
If I push the pedal to the floor it picks up
and goes. There is no check engine light
and no smoke. Sometimes I can turn the
car off for a few minutes then start it back
up and it will run fine all day.

Ok I will start with that. I've looked at a few other things with no luck but I haven't checked the fuel filter yet. Thank you
