Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When trying to make left hand turns, the steering wheel will only go so far - this morning when I was driving - had to make a left hand turn so forced the wheel to go - felt like something let go and then the wheel turned and the truck made the left hand turn.

There are a few things you could check. Check that the power steering belt is not worn or needs adjustment. Check the power steering hose to make sure there isn't a leak, and check the power steering pump.

its an alignment issue. did you have a new pitman arm or idler arms replaced?. if someone did an alignment they probably only adjusted the toe and forgot to level the steering wheel when replacing a part
