95 maxima manual knocked 8 days after installing a new clutch kit, motor mounts and flt wheel

Asked by Jun 19, 2017 at 05:38 PM about the 1995 Nissan Maxima

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just last night i notice my car seeming as if it
wanted to turn off while coming to a stop or even
after revving in idle
I drove it this morning to work 3 miles to be exact
Within 2 miles it started cutting off
Im thinking its the battery but i just installed a new
battery
I pull to the side to check the air intake filter but
everything is bolted right.
I turn it back on and it sounded like a coin or nut
was going through the motor then it started
knocking real bad. The mechanic that put my new
parts in said that i destroyed the cam shaft
But under his breath he smirked and laughed after
he said i drove with no motor oil but i checked my
motor oil before i went to work and it was fine.
What should i do. He said for a used or rebuilt
engine plus labor would be 2400 1500 for the
motor and 900 for labor?
