Nothing happens wen I turn yhe key to start
I have a 95 Nissan Maxima as I turn the key
to start it nothing happens lights stay on
they don't damn or anything but when I take
a wire and touch the solenoid to the positive
on the battery the motor rolled over but
when I try it with the key nothing happened
can anyone help
Then you need to test to see if power is going threw that small wire when someone is turning the key to the start position. If there is power there then it is a bad solenoid. If there is no power there then it could be the ignition switch, a neutral safety switch, or a clutch safety switch.
Alright I'll try that. Oh for some reason after I quite working on it came out like a hour later went out try an start it an it started now it's doing it again could that also make it do that.?
If it started for you then there must be power going to the solenoid on the starter at times, so when it does not start, thats when we need to know if there is power on the small wire on the stater solenoid or not. So it would be one of the items listed above, yes.
