Dear ace1- The list I have of possible reasons why your 1990 Ford Ranger won't start is several pages long. It could be the starter, the battery, the fuel filter, the solenoid switch, faulty wires, the timing belt, etc. Take your pick. To me it seems you might have to spend a few bucks and let a professional look at it. Good luck from Bovan.
