which works better Bar's or Blue Devil's rear main seal oil stop leak

Asked by Mar 14, 2016 at 04:33 PM about the 1998 Nissan Pathfinder

Question type: General

leaking rear main seal

1 Answer

Chances are they won't work, if the seal is leaving a puddle where it sits overnight and you have oil spatters up the back of the rig then it's too late. It will have to be replaced, and if the crankshaft is grooved by the oil seal you will need a speedy sleeve for that engine so be prepared.
