my starter went out,,do i have to take it to a car dealer , cus my mechanic says its hard to get to the starter , his hands dont fit , its a small n to the back area

I've done it on a 99 sentra before, yes it's hard but sounds like your mechanic is a wussy. Take it to someone else, it will cost more than most other cars but that's because it's in a hard location. dealers often charge way more than most shops and unless ur car is 2 or less years old it's not gonna be treated any different.
