Sounds like your overdrive switch or overdrive solenoid in the transmission is the problem. Have this diagnosed by a competent mechanic. Repair should not be very expensive.

Well? Which one? Should the Overdrive be ON or OFF while driving? When I press the button a light comes on that says "O/D OFF".

dont be so loud, we are here to help.in city driving having od off is prefered highway driving better to have od on,but really up to you this is why it has a switch to turn it on or off.if changing on it,s own then you should have it checked.

I leave O/D on all the time, except for performance driving. All overdrive is is a 5th gear that helps you get better gas mileage. Test: when your on the highway leave O/D on : Cruise at about 70 : Then turn it off and watch your RPMs FLY...lol
