can a 6 cyl pull a boat with sufficient power?

can a 6 cylinger nissan frontier with a 3.4 liter engine pull a 16 ft. boat/trailer off a boat ramp without any problem?

You can find the full 2004 Nissan Towing Guide in PDF format here, delliott525: http://www.courtesyparts.com/nissan-manual/pdf/2004NissanTowingGuide.pdf. Towing capacity varies with transmission type and the supercharged engine, but it looks like you'll want a sway-control device and should be able to tow at least 3,400 pounds. If you've got an automatic, your towing capacity should be almost 5,000 pounds. Good luck!

It may help if you tell us what type of boat you're talking about. Is it 16ft pontoon boat or a jet boat or a ski boat or a fishing boat, ...?

depends on the weight and the ramp. your little truck might end up in the water.
