i got a 2006 ninson altma that only clicks when we try to start but its new battery and a new starter

That means the terminals were not cleaned with a terminal cleaner wire brush that helps to make good contact with fresh metal to the new battery OR the battery sold to you may have been an incorrect battery, take it back!
