Ford ranger 1991
My 1991 Ford ranger is have starting issues it just had it
clutch replace and once we got it in it won’t start again I
have tried everything like replacing the starter and starter
solenoids and it just won’t start it will get going with a
bump start but that’s it please help!!!
so it doesn't turn over (crank) ? clutch switch ?
No it won’t turn over at all but will run with a bump start we checked the battery too and it holds a charge
sounds like a bad starter , is the starter getting power when you hit the key ?
We took that starter out and took it to the auto parts store and the checked it and it was fine we did the same with both starter solenoids I have no idea what it could be
does the solenoid wire get power when you hit the key for start ? ? If you don't test things you will never know what the problem is
We tested all of that when we touch the terminal of the started solenoid it generated a spark
