Whats wrong with this

Ok so heres what I've got so far, my neighbr unhooked the - post on his battery and when
he hooked it back up the alarm started going off and wouldnt stop. How do I reset this so i
can get power to the car without it going nuts

Put the key in,turn to on position,then hook battery up.

Try putting the key in the door if the ignition doesn't work. I had an acura that did the same thing. The ignition did not work but the door did. I called the dealer and that is what they told me to do.. it worked.
