87 Chevrolet starts and then stalls

Asked by Jim Apr 07, 2020 at 12:21 PM about the 1987 Chevrolet C/K 1500

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an 87 chevy pickup with a fuel injected 350.
This winter the truck ran great until one day out of
the blue it wouldn't start. I thought it might be the
inline fuel filter since the pump seemed to be
working, so I replaced the filter. Now the truck will
start several times and then stall out after 5
seconds of running. I'm at a loss and would
appreciate any advice on where to go from here.
Thank you!

Could be a dirty or defective idle air control valve. Might be dirty injectors.
