Why will my car crank right up but not move in drive or reverse?

My transmission went out..got another put
in..car cranks right up but wont move..

Was replacement transmission tested before it was installed? If it is a junkyard transmission, there is a good chance that it is defective as well.

I have a 1997 Mitsubish Montero Sport and I replaced my alternator today and all of sudden the SRS light came on and my interior lights will not turn on. Also when I drive the car it will not build up speed. I can drive it but it will to build up speed for take off. Could it be I blew a fuse or something else? 4 Answers

Hi--I just got my alternator changed today on my 2002 Mitsubishi Montero Sport LS AWD, the D (drive) indicator does not light up when I shift to the drive position? All the rest do light up (R, N, 3, 2 & L)??? Also, ever since I bought the car I have not been able to use the horn, I noticed the horn fuse was missing, but when I put the fuse in, the horn beeps continuously???
