On way home all of a sudden car got loud. Real loud. When I push on gas it's loudest , yet once I get going it fades away. Also loud right when you start it. What is it. Anyidea

Something wrong with the exhaust, probably rusted out...cracked or got a hole in it.

Your muffler fell off!

Could be a blown dough nut also, still something bad with the exhaust.
