Can I use a 2000 or 2002 mitsubishi diamante alternator in a 2001 mitsubishi diamante

I'm looking for a replacement alternator for my 2001 mitsubishi diamante but the only ones that I've been able to find are from a 2000 diamante and a 2002 diamante. Trying to figure out if I can use one of these on my car without damaging my vehicle. The 2000 and 2002 models have the same engine specifications as my 2001 model.
