Asked by Jan 05, 2017 at 02:43 PM about the 1993 Mercury Capri

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

takes starting fluid to get it cranked and alot of mashing the gas pedal, when it seems to have warmed up it will idle, but it is rough, and the brakes dont work anymore, "has brake fluid in reservoir, a rodent had gotten under the hood a while back and chewed all the plug cables in half, I bought new cables and replaced them.... I think I put them back in the right order, maybe I put them in wrong???

Maybe not. I hope you drained the fuel before you started it.
