Fuel injection does not work properly

Asked by PelleO Apr 26, 2020 at 01:04 PM about the 1981 Lincoln Mark VI

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have had my 1981 Lincoln Continental Mark VI (302 Ford Windsor V8) garaged for many years.  Earlier this year I brought it to a mechanic in order to bring it back to running condition.  The engine starts, but it uses far too much fuel,  He has replaced the fuel injectors and the Fuel injection control unit, but the problem persists. We're looking to find reference manuals with detailed information on engine settings to find out what might be wrong.  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated

I would be looking for a factory repair manual. Maybe this link will help. https://www.fordforums.com/threads/cfi-information.289185/
